Meta-analysis (BIE-5746)
Meta-analysis is a course taught to graduate students. This course has been taught three times, over a two-year period. I teach to classes of approximately 15-20 students, and students from other institutions are welcome to join it. Our course is based on a series of lectures and discussions to introduce the theory behind meta-analytic studies. Students that join the course are invited to our Google Groups page to share resources and discussions.
The most recent version of our timetable can be found here.
The main aim of the course is to prepare students to understand the logic of meta-analyses and to be able to critically evaluate published meta-analytic studies. Moreover, all students will have the opportunity to write a meta-analytic proposal as the course's final evaluation activity. The instructions to the meta-analytic proposal are here.
